Borger Construction Project Profile
Borger Construction and Corix have a long-standing relationship of working together on many construction projects. Our proven track record of providing cost-effective, safe and reliable water and wastewater product solutions has ensured Borger remains one of our most important clients. This strong relationship came into play when Borger needed assistance with its sanitary force main project from Airdrie to Calgary, Alberta. Corix's unparalleled expertise in water and wastewater systems offered Borger a cost effective, one-stop solution for this project.
Corix designs and builds pre-engineered packages that meter, control flow, reduce pressure, isolate systems and prevent backflow for optimum system operations. Borger recognized the value of Corix's wastewater systems for this project. Not only did Corix offer technical integrity and experience, this solution would also reduce construction time as pre-engineered systems require approximately one to two days for installation on site, compared to a timeline of up to three weeks to construct and install on-site. An agreement to build 15 pre-engineered systems was established. Historical winter weather conditions was an added challenge to the project, but with a solid commitment to customer service, Corix delivered as promised, on time and on budget. The resulting partnership saved Borger approximately 40 per cent of capital costs.
The Corix Advantage
Corix's history of pre-engineered systems dates back to 1963, pioneering the expertise of quality products and service, and a commitment to deliver as promised that our customers have come to expect today. Our in-house engineering design team ensures optimum system operation, and our manufacturing facilities are dedicated to building custom systems, including waterworks, force mains and sanitary systems. The quality of products we use meets and exceeds the highest industry standards, with premium product lines such as Cla-Val, DeZURIK and APCO. Corix's access to raw material exceeds the standard of four to seven weeks, which is unmatched in our industry. The result is a faster delivery time enabling cost-effective solutions.
Minimizing the Environmental Footprint
Corix's dedicated facilities meet provincial and federal environmental regulations and standards. Conducting work in this controlled environment minimizes the need to build on-site, resulting in fewer disturbances to the natural environment and wildlife. In addition, pre-engineered systems require less disruption to traffic patterns and residences during construction.
“Corix offered a solution that was competitively priced, made installation simple and guaranteed quality construction. The pre-engineered water system was the right answer for our project.”
