Who We Are
Corix has more than 65 years of experience designing, building, financing and managing the vital utility infrastructure systems required for communities to grow and thrive.
Formerly Terasen Water and Utility Services, we are now a privately held company whose principal owners are CAI Capital Management Inc. (CAI) and BC Investment Management Corporation (BCIMC). CAI and BCIMC are large and stable members of the investment community. They manage funds for premiere financial institutions, government agencies and publicly administered trust funds, including large public sector pension plans and have substantial investment and capital to execute on an established strategy, build on past successes and react to market opportunities in a dynamic manner. Corix and its affiliated companies maintain an asset base of approximately $188 million and have 2006 forecast aggregate revenues totaling $280 million.
In The Community
Corix does not own or sell water or energy. Instead we ensure the safest, most efficient transport, delivery and treatment systems. And we do this in partnership with the people of the communities we serve. Our partner communities oversee these arrangements and assess the quality of the service we provide. Corix offers greater accountability, appropriate risk sharing and a competitive structure to all of our community partners.
Our Advantage
Corix brings experience, stability, efficiency and a cost effective approach to operating and maintaining utility infrastructure for communities.
Our expertise allows us to offer a rational business model with increased accountability that fits with public sector goals. We provide the best possible solutions for our clients: safe, long term, cost effective utility infrastructure systems and services for communities and the people who live and work in them.
