Design-Build Process

Corix will work with the client to select, design, build and deliver modular water and wastewater treatment plants that can meet the community’s needs.

Selecting the Water Treatment Process

Corix will select the most appropriate water treatment process. We can identify and implement a number of opportunities to reduce environmental impacts as well as capital operations and maintenance (O&M) costs. The ability to reliably achieve effluent quality which meets or exceeds the required effluent parameters is paramount.

We work to balance physical input factors such as water flow and site location with the client’s desired cost and operational outcomes.

Design the Treatment Plant

Our team of engineers will work with you during the design process to develop innovative solutions that can improve life cycle costs and lower the impact on the environment while guaranteeing that all standards are met. The inputs from all disciplines including technical, finance, operations and risk management are incorporated in the design development.

Build Using an "In-Factory" Production Process

Corix employs an “in-factory” production process that enables us to effectively control quality, speed up the approval process and dramatically reduce costs. During this stage, the treatment plant is assembled, piped, wired and programmed in our facility before undergoing a complete quality inspection and operations check prior to shipment.

Delivery of the Treatment Plant

After pre-testing, the treatment plant is mounted onto steel skids for delivery by truck or rail. Once on site, the treatment plant is skidded from truck to pad and water and electrical are connected.

Commissioning and Training

Before final hand-off to the client, our experienced technical staff will systematically walk through every component of the water treatment process and building with the client and plant operator to ensure proper installation and operation.

We will also provide comprehensive training on all systems within the plant, demonstrating the operation and maintenance (O&M) procedures for each component. These procedures are also explained in the O&M manual and training video, which we include with every treatment plant we provide.
