West Shore Environmental Services

Billing, New Connections and Fees

Billings

As of September 29, 2004, all existing sewer system accounts have been transferred from Langford to West Shore Environmental Services Inc. free of charge.

In the future, all sewer system user fees will be paid to West Shore Environmental Services and not the City of Langford. These fees will not be included in the municipal taxes in the future. Visit the City of Langford website for more information regarding annual sewer service billing.

Sewer system user fees will be billed annually around the first week of June for payment by July 2 of each year.

New Connections and Fees

West Shore may impose a Sewer Capital Recovery Fee on owners based on single family equivalents assessed for each property. This is to cover the capital cost for the installation of sewers in the various areas of Langford.

Within existing sewer specified areas, West Shore may also impose a one-time connection fee for new connections to the sewer system. This fee is based on per inch of diameter of the connecting pipe.

West Shore will impose annual user fees based on cubic meter of water consumed through winter months. User fee data is calculated by the CRD Water Department.

West Shore will impose a one-time account set-up charge of $25.00 for residential connections and up to $125.00 for all other connections. These will apply each time an account is set-up by the owner or occupant of a lot.
