Terasen Water and Utility Services Announces Name change to CORIX

Vancouver, BC — Terasen Water and Utility Services will now operate under the new name “Corix”.
“The name change came about as a result of our new ownership status that took effect May 19, 2006. We are no longer part of the Terasen/Kinder Morgan group of companies and our new name will help us communicate this to the marketplace”, said Brett Hodson, Corix President and CEO. “As we transition from Terasen to Corix over the next couple of months, the Corix brand will come to represent our core strengths and the fact that we are a company clearly focused on expanding our utility infrastructure business across North America."
As part of the name change, our subsidiary companies will take on a variation of the Corix name and all name changes will take effect on July 5th, 2006. The company’s web site address will also change to www.corix.com.

“I want to assure our valued customers that changing our name will not affect our service standards and our commitment to personal customer relationships remains the same,” Hodson said.
Corix is no longer affiliated with Terasen Gas. The name change has no effect on Terasen Gas, which remains part of the Kinder Morgan group of companies.
