“This shows some of the positive results we are seeing from our new partnership with Corix,” said Ray Payne, President and CEO of Chatham-Kent Energy. “The Corix Measurement Technology Centre will lead to additional growth for us, including in the area of smart meters, where we are leading the Province of Ontario in the deployment of a fully compliant smart meter solution.”
The new Measurement Technology Centre takes advantage of Corix’s significant experience and expertise in the area of measurement and metering. This experience includes over 3 million gas, water and electric AMR installations and meter changes across North America for a diverse range of customers that includes investor-owned utilities, municipalities and cooperatives. Corix has also tested and calibrated over 900,000 meters in 125 communities across the U.S. and Canada and has read over 200 million meters since 1995.
