Corix Acquires Edward S. Walsh Company

VANCOUVER — The Corix Group of Companies announced today it has acquired the Edward S. Walsh Company.
“This acquisition allows us to fulfill a key part of our corporate strategy,” said Brett Hodson, President and Chief Executive Officer, Corix. “It has been part of our plan to establish a base in the western United States and Edward S. Walsh now gives us that platform.”
Edward S. Walsh is a California company that supplies water, wastewater, fire protection and storm products. It has three locations in California – Santa Clara, Stockton and Livermore – and approximately 20 employees.
Hodson added that this acquisition is consistent with Corix’s goal of continuing to grow its business both in Canada and the United States.
“We expect to use Edward S. Walsh as a base to help grow our water products, water systems and utilities businesses, both in the San Jose area and the entire west coast of the United States,” he said.
The Corix Group of Companies – based in Vancouver, B.C. – specializes in providing infrastructure solutions in the water, wastewater and energy sectors.
