Corix Water Products Contributes $5000.00 to Raise a Reader

VICTORIA — Corix Water Products yesterday presented a cheque for $5000.00 to support the Victoria Times Colonist’s Raise a Reader Campaign. The donation came from the money raised by Corix and Focus at this year’s “Golf for Kids” Chari ty Classic held at Bear Mountain in September.

“Raise a Reader is a very important cause and one we are proud to support,” said Murray Stewart, Corix Regional Manager, Vancouver Island.

Corix’s donation comes on the heels of other recent and significant charitable contributions on Vancouver Island. They include $325,000.00 raised at the 11 th Annual “Golf for Kids” Chari ty Classic (with proceeds going to Help Fill a Dream Foundation, KidSportBC and Rock Solid) and a contribution of $10,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society's Cops for Cancer bike ride.

“This is another example of how Corix is committed to supporting the communities that we serve and work in,” added Stewart. “We have over 30 employees working and serving our customers on the Island from offices in Duncan, Courtenay, Langford and Victoria.”
