Vancouver, BC – Sep 3, 2019 – The Corix Group of Companies (Corix) today announced that Shawn Elicegui will be joining the Company’s executive management team on September 4, 2019, as Executive Vice President of Risk Management reporting to Lisa Sparrow, President and Chief Executive Officer.
“Shawn’s extensive utility industry background adds critical expertise to our team in support of our ongoing commitment to deliver safe, reliable and environmentally sustainable service to our customers,” said Sparrow. “He brings valuable legal and executive management experience to Corix, as well as a fresh perspective that will help ensure we balance rigorous risk management practices with our continued growth,” she added.
Elicegui is the founder and managing member of SR 431 Consulting LLC and Elicegui PLLC, where he has been providing strategic advice and counsel to regulated utilities and stakeholders in the energy industry. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of NV Energy, Inc., an electric utility with annual revenues of approximately $3 billion. During his 10 years with NV Energy, he held several operational, planning and legal roles including Senior Vice President of Regulation and Strategic Planning, Senior Vice President of Customer Operations and Senior Vice President of Business Planning, Regulatory and Legislative Strategy. In these roles, Elicegui supervised the development and implementation of customer-facing programs, resource acquisition plans and regulatory and legislative strategies. Prior to his employment with NV Energy, Elicegui was a law partner in the Nevada-based firm of Lionel, Sawyer & Collins, where he represented telecommunications, water and wastewater, electric and natural gas utilities before state and federal agencies.
Elicegui received his B.A. in International Affairs and Political Science from University of Nevada, Reno and his J.D. from University of California, Davis – School of Law.
