Corix Multi-Utility Services Inc. (Corix) is seeking the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s approval to continue the next stage of development of the UniverCity Neighbourhood Utility Service on Burnaby Mountain, and on February 28, 2017 filed an Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity.
If approved, the expanded utility will be called the Burnaby Mountain District Energy Utility, and will include energy service to Simon Fraser University’s Burnaby campus in addition to the UniverCity community.
