What is District Energy?
District energy systems centralize the production of heating or cooling for a neighborhood or community.
Centralized plants produce large volumes of steam, hot water, and chilled water, which are transported through an underground system of pipes to buildings where it is used for space heating and cooling, domestic hot water heating, and humidification.
Access to a district energy system provides many efficiency and environmental advantages compared to conventional heating and cooling systems, including:

- Money savings on power, infrastructure, and operations and maintenance
