Corix Utilities and Spicewood Beach
Corix Utilities provides the community of Spicewood Beach with retail water treatment and distribution services.
The Spicewood Beach/Lakeside Beach Water System, located in Burnet County, provides treated surface water to the residents of Spicewood Beach, Lakeside Beach, Eagle Bluff and Lake Oaks subdivisions. The drinking water meets all state and federal regulatory requirements.
In March 2012, LCRA signed an agreement to sell their retail water and wastewater systems to Corix Infrastructure Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, Corix Utilities began operating the Spicewood Beach system in July 2012 but could not assume ownership until regulatory approval was provided.
We are pleased to announce that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has granted Corix Utilities regulatory approval and as of July 31, 2014, Corix officially took ownership of the systems.
