The Kamloops Community YMCA-YWCA has held the Y Dream Home Lottery for 25 years. It’s a unique partnership between the Kamloops YMCA-YWCA, the Canadian Home Builders Association-Central Interior (CHBA), and Thompson Rivers University (TRU) Trades and Technology Program.
Proceeds from the lottery serve as an important fundraiser for: the YMCA-YWCA’s programs and services, bursaries and new equipment for TRU, and CHBA projects and training programs.
The Dream Home Training House build also serves as a valuable training ground for TRU students and CHBA members. Students gain jobsite experience, and the industry gains experienced trades people.
