Boil Water Notice

Jun 01, 2019

Effective June 1, 2019, Corix Utilities in conjunction with the Interior Health Authority has issued a BOIL WATER NOTICE for customers on the Panorama Water System. A turbidity level above 5.0 NTU has caused disturbance to the water quality.

Corix Utilities and Interior Health Authority recommend that ALL customers in the affected area drink boiled water or a safe alternative. Water intended for drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled for one minute. Boiled water should then be refrigerated in a clean, covered container. Customers could also choose to use bottled or distilled water, or water that has been filtered through a well-maintained treatment device.

In accordance with Interior Health Authority requirements, owners of all public facilities must post “Boil Water Notices” at all sinks or drinking water fountains accessible to the public. (Alternatively, public fountains and taps may be turned off).

Corix Utilities is taking additional measures to reduce risk, and a notification will be issued when water quality has improved.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this time. If you have any questions, please contact Corix Customer Care at 1-877-788-7277 or by email at customercare@corix.com.
