Corix Utilities has been contacted by some Panorama customers reporting their hot water tank pressure relief valves have been opening. This can be the result of pressure surges in the water distribution system, which under certain circumstances can overwhelm these pressure relief valves.
As such, we recommend all homeowners and commercial property management companies immediately inspect their homes and buildings for water leakage. If a leak is detected, shut off the main water supply valve, normally located near the water meter, before further inspection. Please contact your plumber for any in-premise issues.
Corix personnel are investigating the cause of the pressure surges and are confident the situation will be remedied shortly. An update will be issued as more details become available.
