As a result of the incident affecting the Enbridge pipeline that feeds into the FortisBC Gas system, the supply of natural gas to customers across BC may be affected and FortisBC is anticipating possible reduction in natural gas service or temporary loss of natural gas service.
Corix is supporting FortisBC’s request of all of their natural gas customers across the province to turn down their thermostats as low as possible and reduce or eliminate use of all other natural gas based appliances. Since Corix uses natural gas from the FortisBC Gas system to produce the thermal energy used in your community, we would ask all of our customers to take the same reduction measures such as turning down thermostats and reducing hot water usage to whatever extent possible.
